I am working on migrating a very large archive from version 8 to version 9.
I am creating a zip file of the arc directory to move it to the new machine, and am finding that it is taking a huge amount of time due to the large number of directory entries.
Have you found any tool that works to move the files any faster?

If this is Linux, rsync works pretty well.
On Windows, an xcopy command might work better if the machines are on the same network.
